Clinical Supervision

Traditional supervision includes normative. formative and restorative support. Supervisors are trained to help you with ethics, legal issues, skills, interventions, and provide emotional support.

Attachment-informed supervision applies attachment theory directly to the supervisory relationship, as well as to your client work. This recognises that to take care of your clients, you also need a professional relationship that takes care of you. Regardless of your modality, using attachment theory in supervision can improve all of your clinical relationships, including those with your clients. Moreover, reducing your inner-conflict as a therapist will lower your stress levels and reduce the likelihood of burnout.

As your supervisor, I will provide:

A secure base and a safe haven: A predictable, non-judgemental space where we can celebrate your achievements and safely explore any constructive developmental needs together.

Attachment-informed support: Guidance on how to work with clients that present with different attachment needs and relational styles. We will use parallel process to uncover how unconscious emotional dynamics are playing out between you and your clients.
