Testimonial

Given I am a qualified pet bereavement counsellor and psychotherapeutic counsellor, unlike most other pet bereavement counsellors I offer a unique opportunity to support you with your bereavement and loss, without the need to refer you to a a different therapist should you also require treatment for more complex mental health problems, including severe anxiety, chronic depression and complicated grief.
I am trained to use CBT and Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) to treat anxiety and depression, respectively. These are evidenced based approaches that are endorsed by the NHS.
Talking to other people who are experiencing similar feelings to you can be helpful for some people. I facilitate a monthly online drop-in support group. This is a space where you can share your valuable memories and feelings about your pets in a non-judgemental environment, in real time.
I provide resources that can be used alongside counselling as additional support. My blog contains a variety of articles that offer practical support for pet bereavement. I also provide links to pet bereavement support materials from the Blue Cross and the Ralph Site. These links can be accessed towards the end of this page.
