As well as being a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and accredited member of the BACP, I am a registered member of Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors. Consequently, I can offer bespoke pet loss grief counselling. This provides you with an opportunity to explore your feelings, with someone who is trained to provide acceptance, empathy, and unconditional validation of your loss.
Talking to other people who are experiencing similar feelings to you can be helpful. I provide a monthly online drop-in support group. This is a space where you can share your valuable memories and feelings around your loss in a non-judgemental environment, in real time.
My blog contains a variety of articles that I have written. These include articles that offer practical support on pet bereavement. I also provide links to additional (free) pet bereavement support services. These can be accessed towards the end of this page.

The Blue Cross is a respected animal welfare charity in the UK, that offers a Pet Bereavement Support Service that is specifically tailored for people grieving pets. This is not a counselling service, however the line/email/chat is staffed by volunteer listeners who understand pet loss. They are not offering formal therapy, but they do provide a compassionate ear and can give information on coping and resources. This is a free and confidential service available nationwide. It’s available every day from 8:30am to 8:30pm (so 12 hours a day, every day of the week).

The Ralph Site is a not-for-profit online service. It provides articles, memorial pages, and a supportive online community. This website offers advice on coping with grief, personal stories, and links to further help. They even have sections on specific issues like pet loss trauma, helping children with pet loss, etc. The Ralph Site is peer support service and not a counselling service. However, it is a trusted resource where many people find comfort. It’s free and online information is available 24 hours a day.
